Class Questions

We know that you may have questions, so we put together a list of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you don't find the answers here, please feel free to Contact Us.

Signing-up for classes is not required. If you are a member of Peak Sports Fitness, you are ready to join a class. That’s right, it’s included in your Peak Sports Club membership. Just check the class times to see the session that right for you.

We teach various classes at different times. Please take a look at our class schedule for: All Belt Levels. These will be the classes open to all levels of students. The activities of each class is different, so even if you do 3 All Belt Levels classes in the same day, your training will differ from the previous class.

Don’t worry. We have new students starting all the time and we will work with you and your skills and abilities. The main thing is not to feel overwhelmed and if you do, we encourage you to talk with our instructors or with some of our other students. Just remember that everyone in class once started as you did, and felt the same things too. Learning does not happen overnight - but that’s part of the fun.

We have students in all age ranges, from young to old. If it’s a concern about your child’s age, it really depends on the individual child and their maturity. In situations with very young students, a parent usually stays in our seating area and watches for the first couple of classes. But why watch when you can do class with them? We have many parents who join the class with their child and have a great time learning and exercising together. It can be a great bonding experience for you and your child.

Are you more concerned about your age? Don’t worry. As we said, we have a wide range of ages in class and we work with your abilities - at whatever stage in life you start classes.

Not at all. We want your time with us to be fun and enjoyable. So come to class in comfortable clothing (i.e. t-shirt, shorts, sweats). The only students who are required to have a uniform are those who want to participate in our belt testing program. If you decide that you want to get a uniform, just ask one of the instructors and they’ll be happy to assist you.

It is a way to test your knowledge of TKD techniques and forms. Our belt system follows the World TaeKwonDo (WT) guidelines and certification methods. Generally speaking, testing occurs every two months. Check the website for updated testing dates.

Originally the World TaeKwonDo Federation, in 2017 the organization simplified its name to World TaeKwonDo and now abbreviates to WT. We certify all Dan ranks (black belt and higher) with Kukkiwon, the official Taekwondo governing organization established by the South Korean government.
